SILVER STAG Knife Company was founded 15 years ago by a couple of sportsmen that enjoyed building high carbon stag knives in their garage. The original knives were very rustic, but performed excellent in the field. Over the first couple of years, the knives were peddled at local gun shows, and slowly but surely demand increased for the functional and affordable small line of knives. As customer reorders increased, additional equipment was purchased and a great team was assembled to increase SILVER STAG?s quality and production infrastructure. Fifteen years later, SILVER STAG has gained international recognition for their quality line of knives. The company is proud that it has never strayed from the original, humble ?Hands On? approach to manufacturing. Even today, every SILVER STAG Knife is hollow ground, assembled, shaped, buffed, polished, and sharpened by HAND. LINE SUMMARY - The Company uses three types of domestically produced High Carbon Tool Steels to manufacture their exclusive designs; D2, xxxx, and 15N20, (steel specs to follow). Every SILVER STAG Knife has shed North American deer, elk, or moose antler built into the design. Every knife includes a high quality leather sheath. The SILVER STAG collection is made up of over 60 extremely functional blade designs; each knife design is classified into one of Ten Series and categorized by the steel, antler, and construction method used in the manufacturing process.
